My job from my customer was to photograph a Hayabusa sport bike with a beautiful girl in a bikini. This is pretty well standard fare in the motorcycle business – guys love girls in bikini’s on bikes. So per the customer request, I shot the beautiful Emily Cochran on this red Hayabusa customized by Tommy Bolton from Tombo Racing. This was the first time I had photographed Emily and was quite pleased.
After getting the requesit shots, I wanted to get a picture that fit my style a bit better. I wanted something more dramatic and in my opinion, more sexy. So I had Emily don a set of racing leathers and pose for this shot. We applied a bit of lotion to her skin and used a spray bottle to mimic persperation.
To give Emily a more dramatic look, I switched out the key softbox on her for a beauty dish placed high overhead, raking down her body and adding some dramatic shadows to the scene. A wind machine helped increase the drama. This look reflected my asthetics much better than the bikini shot. What do you think?
I agree – the leathers shot is much stronger. Great site, great work, thanks for the lighting info…
Cheers.
