I shot these pictures of Rod Harris in my studio last summer. Rod has such awesome body tone I wanted to capture that with my lighting. I used a large full sized softbox on camera left, and a strip softbox on camera right. The larger full sized softbox on camera left allowed the light to wrap around his right side more, while the strip softbox on the right limited the wrap on the left side of his body. This is a traditional cross lighting scheme. A boomed beauty dish overhead provided light on the background to give him some seperation.
You can clearly see the difference in the second picture by just turning is stance to the opposite side.
Here is a more normal head shot portrait of Rod. He is a really nice guy to work with.
