“Let’s do a silhouette!” Crystal always has great ideas.
I have worked with Crystal several times in the past and she had always done a great job. This time she brought her guitar and wanted some rock & roll photos and suggested we also shoot in black & white silhouette. Sounded like a great idea to me!
Lighting is generally easy for this – light the background and not you subject. I wanted just a bit of fill to shape her features and not a true silhouette so I set up one light for that.
Crystal is very comfortable in front of the camera and really got after it. I was playing Kid Rock on the speakers and she says “Got anything harder than that? How about some AC/DC?” I just smiled and said “I can do that!”
