Island Ranch

Earlier in 2013 I worked on a story about guest ranches for Oklahoma Today Magazine and visited Island Ranch, located in north central Oklahoma near Ames. The ranch has been in the same family for many generations and was originally settled right after the Cherokee Strip was opened. It is still family operated and they host guests from all over the world who want to come and experience the cowboy lifestyle. I had fun with the White family and spent a couple of days hanging out with them and other guests.
