I stopped by the iconic Pop’s station in Arcadia this past weekend with my mother. She had never been there so I took her for a “soda pop” as my dad would say. Two hundred calories of fructose corn syrup goodness in one bottle. She got Grape and I got Cream Soda – out of about 30 different brands of cream soda.
As we left I set up my Toyo VX-125 and shot a sheet of Ilford HP5 film. Once again I used my orange filter in front of my lens and really like what it does for the sky. I was using my Nikon 210 F5.6 lens and wish I had shot this with my 150 Rodenstock to get a wider angle, but I didn’t have a filter adapter for it. I guess I could have just hand held the filter in front of the lens. I will have to go back and reshoot this one to get the full store in the picture.
