Now for a change of pace. Last week I went to an Oklahoma Film Photographers meeting and afterwards several of us walked around downtown Oklahoma City looking for something to photograph. I normally don’t do photowalks and prefer to tell stories with my photos, but I wanted to just capture something nearby with my Toyo VX-125 film camera and this Jeep Cherokee grabbed my eye. I have always liked the looks of this SUV and especially like the sleek headlights. I set up quickly and just grabbed this photo without a lot of planning or fussing. Later I noticed I should have backed off a bit and got more of the SUV in the frame, but what the heck. This was not for a client and was just a quick grab shot. I had not used my 4×5 in a few weeks so this photo was me just getting back in the swing of using the camera.
