I think this is a Chevy Nova doing a burnout in the “water box” at the drag strip so his tires are warm and sticky for the upcoming run down the drag strip at Thunder Valley Raceway in Noble, Oklahoma.

Back to my drag racing photos. Once again these are from my session at Thunder Valley Raceway in Noble, Oklahoma and feature a Chevy Nova with big tires and a hot rod engine. The car is doing a burnout in the “water box” to warm up the tires for the upcoming run. This photo proves that racers will hop up ANYTHING to make it go fast – notice the pickup truck in the background. Once again this was shot on my Toyo VX-125 4×5 film camera.
