Before the COVID-19 pandemic I toted my white background and lighting gear to Central Electric Cooperative in Stillwater for a cover shoot for Oklahoma Living Magazine. These usually require a fair amount of work, since I have to take an 11′ roll of white paper with me, plus all the gear to hold the paper and light the subjects and paper.
One important detail that I have to always remember is to make sure electrical lineman are always wearing the proper safety gear, especially when the story is about safety. For my first few frames I forgot to have the lineman wearing safety glasses. Anna Politano, my editor, pointed this out thankfully so that I could quickly reshoot the photos before people left or I tore down the set.
Once we were done with inside photos, we went out to the storage yard and warehouse to photograph the linemen doing safety inspections. This was pretty straightforward to photograph.
