This rider set up on the concrete X that I was pre-focused on. Rather than have him align his bike parallel to my lens, I left him in this position and focused on his face. Shooting at F5.6 on a 210mm lens, I knew only a portion of his bicycle would be in focus.

I love taking portraits of people, especially portraits that show what they do. I couldn’t pass up this opportunity at the Norman Conquest bicycle ride to take portraits of some of the riders when they completed the route.
