Another black and white portrait from my series at the Norman Conquest bicycle ride. I took these portraits after completing my own 23-mile ride in the hills east of Norman. I had my subjects hold their bicycles at my pre-focused mark – the X in the concrete – and once I had them properly aligned, I made minor focus adjustments, loaded film, and snapped the shutter.
