After digging through my image archives I decided to change things up a bit with my 4x5x365 project and add some old 4×5 images I shot years ago. This image was taken around 1998 in Monument Valley, UT. I had went there with my photographer friend Lloyd Brower and spent a week taking photos in the mornings, and developing film in the afternoon. We shot a mixture of E6 color film and black and white film. I had a Jobo processor that we took with us on the trip and used for the processing.
I decided to pull out a few of these 4×5 photos and scan them using newer methods and technology than was available to me back then. The big difference is that now I wet scan my 4×5 film. This reduces the dust and helps with the clarity and resolution. I do post-processing in Adobe Lightroom rather than Photoshop. Working on these color images makes me want to buy some color film for my Toyo View camera and shoot some color again!
