My wife Kay and I recently spend 10 days in our new 2-door Jeep Wrangler exploring the back roads of Arizona. I took my Toyo View VX-125 film camera with me on the trip. I had originally planned to take my Toyo View 45C camera because it was smaller, but after practicing with it a few times at home before our trip, I really hated to give up all the movements of my VX-125. So I pared down my kit to fit in a smaller backpack, taking only 3 lenses, tripod, cable release, and light meter, along with a bag of film holders. I was very glad I had the VX-125. I love that camera.
I ended up shooting hundreds of digital photos on our trip, and about 18 4×5 film photos. None were spectacular, and I didn’t really care about taking awesome scenic photos that would hang on a wall or in a museum. No, film is for me, and I took photos that I wanted to take.
