This is probably one of my favorite photos from our Jeep trip to Arizona. I had to drop my wife Kay off in Las Vegas for a real estate conference, so on the way there we stopped at Hoover Dam again. We had both been there before and have actually done the tour inside the dam, but that was before 911 and COVID. Now we were just happy to get to view the dam. The water was extremely low. I set up my Toyo View VX-125 and shifted my rear standard to move the image in the frame without “keystoning” the picture – one of the reasons I love shooting with a view camera.
I did get some scratching in the upper right corner of the image and could have cleaned it up in Photoshop, but didn’t want to make the effort. Again, these images are for me.
