After leaving Phoenix in our 2-door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, I stopped along the road to photograph these saguaro cactus. After pulling the negative out of the developing tank, I was disappointed to find that the left side of the image was out of focus. I am not sure how that happened. Maybe I didn’t have the film holder in tight, or I had some swing in one of my standards that I didn’t notice. Maybe it was scanning? I will check since I can fix an out-of-focus negative scan. Oh well, that is the entire purpose of my 4x5x365 project – to work out all the kinks so that I have the procedure for shooting 4×5 film down pat.
