I saw this sign on a dirt road in New Mexico and thought it would make for a cool picture with my Toyo View 4×5 camera. I first shot the scene with my Nikon-W 210mm F5.6 lens, but felt the image was a bit cropped and didn’t give a sense of place. I went back to my Jeep Wrangler and grabbed my Schneider Super-Angulon 150mm F5.6 lens and shot from the same tripod location, but with this wide-angle lens. I liked how this included the sky and gave the scene a bit more scale.
