This guy was quite friendly and lived near Choctaw, where I grew up and went to high school. He was selling eggs and chicken feed and was nice enough to let me take his picture on Ilford Delta Pro 100 film using my Toyo View VX-125 large-format camera and a Nikon-W 210mm F5.6 lens.

Most folks I stop and talk to are pretty friendly. And when I am carrying a big 4×5 view camera, they are generally curious. I had people say “that looks like a camera they use for the TV news.” Well, not really, it doesn’t look anything like a TV news camera other than it is big and black and has a lens on the front. This guy was retired and disabled and was selling eggs at Mary’s Swap Meet as a way to supplement his income.
