This turned out to be my favorite shot from our weekend practice session shooting this Harley Davidson motorcycle in the studio. You can see the reflection in the tank of the two soft boxes we used, along with a silhouette of the handlebar. The challenge of shooting black paint and chrome in the studio is that it reflects EVERYTHING, including the light sources, and because of the curves in the tank and other body parts, you can’t get rid of the reflection. Best you can do is hope to hide it or use the reflection.
Shot with my Toyo View VX-125 4×5 film camera using my Nikon-W 210mm F5.6 lens stopped down to about F16, shot on Ilford Delta Pro 100 film developed in Kodak D76.
